When does school start?
- Grades 6-12 start Wednesday, September 7, 2022
- Grades 1-5 start Friday, September 9, 2022 (you will have Family Connections meetings with your new teacher September 7-8)
- Kindergarten starts Monday, September 12, 2022
- Preschool starts Thursday, September 15, 2022

- Regular Hours: 7:30-4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Summer Hours: 7:30-3:30 pm, Monday through Friday
(closed on July 4th)
Individual School Office Hours
- Elementary offices closed June 29-August 21
- Middle school offices closed June 30-August 7
- High school offices closed June 30-August 1

Free Summer Meals Program
NTPS hosts a FREE summer meal program at select school locations. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, all FREE for children 18 and under. No registration is required, just show up! See locations, dates, and times >>

Summer Learning at Home
NTPS Instructional Specialists have compiled excellent summer learning resources for math, literacy, STEM, and SEL.

Thurston Together! Clubhouse @ NTPS schools
Thurston Together Clubhouse: Thurston Together! runs a grant-funded Clubhouse out of Lydia Hawk and Pleasant Glade elementary schools, plus Chinook and Nisqually middle schools. Participation is free, but you must fill out an application. More info & locations on their website >>

The YMCA runs Summer Day Camps at a variety of locations, including Chambers Prairie Elementary.

FREE playground supervision and organized activities weekday afternoons at Lacey and Lydia Hawk elementaries. Lunch provided. Family & Youth Resource Center support for NTPS families
The FYR Center will be open Monday - Thursday 8 am to 3 pm during the summer break to assist NTPS students and families with resources. See the FYR Center page for more info >>

Little Red Schoolhouse Free Supplies Distribution
Little Red Schoolhouse distributes free clothing, school supplies, and more to families in need. Supplies are distributed at a public event for NTPS families, August 23, 2022, from 9-3 pm in the parking lot of Chinook Middle School. See more details on the calendar >>

Free Immunization Clinics
Thurston County Public Health will be holding free immunization clinics in the parking lots of the following NTPS school buildings:
- Mountain View Elementary (1900 College St SE, Lacey): July 12, July 19, & August 2
- Family & Youth Resource Center (200 Sleater Kinney Road NE, Lacey): Thursdays in July, starting July 7
- Timberline High School (6120 Mullen Rd SE, Lacey) (: Fridays July-August, Starting July 1
