  • Meet the Author

    Meet nationally honored children's author, Matt de la Pena Thursday, February 16th at the Lacey Community Center. This free event for families will be from 6PM-7:30. It is a great chance for your family to meet a fun, energetic author, get a free book, have refreshments and possibly win a drawing. The Lacey Community Center is located at 6729 Pacific Ave.

  • School Play - Auditions and First Rehearsals

    On February 27th, first through fifth graders are welcome to try out for the school play. We are excited our PTA is once again bringing back the Missoula Children's Theatre to produce Alice in Wonderland. If you would like more details, please click on the bold letters above.

  • Reptile Man- Wednesday, January 4th

    Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Richardson pose with an alligator after our assembly with the Reptile Man. Students and parents learned many facts and saw amazing creatures during the assemblies and at the afterschool event. Reptiles are interesting animals.

  • January Purple Paw Winners

    Congratulations to the January Purple Paw Raffle winners! Students earn Purple Paws by following the “Bruin Be’s” - Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, Be Kind and Be Engaged. Each Purple Paw earns students a raffle ticket to try and win one of the fabulous monthly prizes! Keep working hard and earning those Purple Paws. Stay tuned for February's winners!

  • BEAR Reading Program

    The B.E.A.R. (Be Excited About Reading) program runs through the month of February. This is a program sponsored by our PTA that asks students to record their daily minutes read. Weekly calendars and more information will be sent home in Thursday folders.

District Announcements

  • Sleater-Kinney Construction

    Beginning Tuesday, 2/21, work on the installation of a new pedestrian-friendlier crosswalk at Sleater-Kinney Road NE by North Thurston High School will begin. Initial completion is scheduled for 3/2 with substantial completion occurring sometime later in April. The work will significantly impact traffic and at times close down lanes of travel either North- or Southbound at different times during the project. Expect possible delays and please plan accordingly.

  • Transfer Requests

    Attention Families: 1st through 12th grade 2017-18 Transfer requests will be accepted starting February 27, 2017 at 8:00am, Kindergarten requests will be accepted starting April 17, 2017.
