1/6/22: COVID-19 Reminders for School Activities

Dear NTPS High School & Middle School Staff and Families:

As we continue to monitor the growing number of COVID-19 cases, we want to again remind our NTPS students, staff, parents, and community about the district’s safety requirements for attending indoor activities and events on our campuses.

We know that students benefit greatly from participating in positive school activities. For us to continue providing these opportunities we need everyone’s help and support in following the public health guidelines for the safety of our students, staff, and community.

As spectators at our indoor events, you will be asked to follow these requirements or leave the event:

  • Fitted masks must be worn at all times, covering your mouth and nose
  • No food or drink is allowed
  • Maintain distance from other families or households.

We will update you as we receive any new guidance from the local Thurston County Department of Health.

Due to precautions around student and staff safety, as well as guidance from the local Thurston County Department of Health, we may postpone or cancel sporting events or pause sporting activities to stop further spread of COVID-19.

As a reminder, DOH recommends the following steps to help keep our kids healthy, stay in the game, and stay in school: Get vaccinated; get a booster; wear a well-fitted mask; maintain your distance; and get tested if you show symptoms or are a close contact of someone who tests positive with COVID-19. Information about testing and vaccination sites can be found on our website along with other important COVID-19 information.

Thank you for your patience and adherence to these guidelines to help keep everyone in our NTPS community safe!
