Board Work Session with Nisqually Tribe Highlights from November 8, 2022

Here are highlights from the November 8, 2022, NTPS School Board work session with the Nisqually Tribe.

Antonio Sandifer, NTPS Director of Equity and Languages, provided an update on the many Native Student Program activities occurring around the district. Discussion followed to include the 4th grade STEM field study that visits the Nisqually Cultural Center and several River Ridge High School programs. Leaders discussed Native Student Program expansion, including offering these exciting new programs to students across the entire school district.
Board members and Tribal Council members discussed the strength of the District and Tribal partnership and ways we can share our excellent work with other Districts and Tribes.
