Board Work Session with City of Lacey Highlights from October 27, 2022
Here are highlights from the October 27, 2022, NTPS School Board session with the City of Lacey.
- School Board members and Lacey City Council members heard an update on a proposed Young Child and Family Center Update from NTPS Assistant Superintendent of Operations Troy Oliver and City of Lacey Director of Parks, Culture, and Recreation Jen Burbidge. The center – representing a collaborative effort between NTPS, the City of Lacey, and the YMCA – would address the increasing need for early learning access and family services. The proposed facility could serve up to 600 preschool students annually, with room for parenting and nutrition classes, community spaces, a pool, and more.

- NTPS Assistant Superintendent Troy Oliver provided an update on NTPS school construction projects.
