2016-2017 Waiver Information

Dear Lakes Families,

It is already time to begin planning for next school year! In order to best meet the needs of our children, I would like to share the process to follow if you wish to re-apply for your child’s admission to Lakes for the upcoming 2016/17 school year.

  • All children who do not reside within the Lakes attendance area per the 2016-17 school boundary changes will need to submit a transfer request if you wish for them to continue to attend Lakes.

  • You can acquire the transfer form from any school.  All transfer requests must be submitted to the North Thurston Public Schools District Office, located at 305 College St. NE, Lacey WA 98516.

  • Waivers will only be time/date stamped at the district office.

  • Be sure that you indicate the grade level that your student will be in next year!

  • It is required that you fill out a separate form for each child requesting a transfer.

  • A new transfer must be filled out every year.  Failure to do so will result our assumption that you wish to enroll your child in your neighborhood school and we will un-enroll him/her at Lakes.

You may submit your waiver application beginning Monday, February 22, 2016 at 7:30AM to the North Thurston Public Schools District Office.   Waiver considerations are based upon staffing available, discipline and attendance data, and on a first come, first served basis.  Waivers received by March 23 will receive a written response from the Superintendent’s office within 45 days of receipt.
