Key Communicator: Rebecca Miller, the friendly face of the district office (4/11/19)

Rebecca Miller: The friendly face of the district office

As the first person people generally see and talk to at North Thurston Public Schools’ district office, Rebecca Miller greets people with a customer service smile and problem-solving attitude. It’s no surprise that she was honored recently as the Key Communicator of the Month presented by the Community Relations department.

“Rebecca is the face and voice of the district office, treating everyone with respect and a warm greeting,” said Courtney Schrieve, Community Relations Exec. Director. “She knows most people by name and gets to know people even in the brief time they are coming and going into the building.”

Rebecca is also credited with being a quick study in tasks big and small and getting people where they need to go for help. "She has an incredible ability to figure out the best way for people to get their needs addressed by actively listening and problem solving. And if she doesn't know, she knows who to ask. She adapts quickly to changing roles, changing offices, and even changing community members! You're in the right hands if you come to the District Office and need something," said Wendy Waits, Webmaster. "She rocks!"
