Congratulations to our 2023 Varsity Letter in Community Service recipients, who have volunteered more than 250 hours during high school. Kudos to the Horizons K-Kids!
The Horizons Elementary K-Kids Club has been busy this school year! Students kicked off the year with an anti-bullying campaign, organized multiple donation events (from food to school supplies to dog toys!), created thoughtful, handmade items to share in the community, cleaned up their school campus, and more! Teen Tech Genius Intergenerational Volunteer Event
NTPS high school students volunteered their time on December 1, 2021 at the Jubilee Lodge in Lacey at the district’s first intergenerational Teen Tech Genius program! The students helped coach senior citizens on how to navigate social media and answered questions about everything from podcasts to Zoom to Facebook! See photos >>

Remembering Volunteer Fran Volkhardt

Remote Volunteering Pen Pals Project
Meadows Elementary students and volunteers are staying connected through the challenges of 2020 by writing letters to one another as Pen Pals. Beginning in June as a way for volunteers to remotely support the school community, a total of 25 pen pals began exchanging cards, letters, and drawings every week or two. Over 150 letters have been exchanged in the 4 months since, and the project is expanding soon to Lydia Hawk! See more about pen pals here >>

Timberline Coach & Tutor John Wilson
Star Volunteer John Wilson is staying connected to Timberline High School in a big way after retiring from 30 years of teaching math and coaching bowling at THS in 2016. John serves as a dedicated volunteer coach for the girls bowling team and as a weekly tutor in the after-school math lab. See more pics of John at the bowling alley >>

Lacey Lions Serve at Health Screenings
Thank you to all three Lacey Lions Clubs for helping at our elementary and middle school health screenings this fall. We appreciate your commitment to serve NTPS schools through this activity each year. Thank you also to the many parent and community volunteers who stepped in to help with the busy days of screening activities. Together they served over 600 hours across 18 schools!
