Billy Frank Jr. Annual Celebration

Description

Join us from 5:30–7:30 pm at North Thurston High School for cultural presentations, school & community displays, and light refreshments.

As part of our celebration of the life and legacy of Billy Frank Jr., we will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Boldt decision. Judge Boldt issued a ruling that affirmed the fishing rights and tribal sovereignty of Native nations in Washington State. The decision transformed Indigenous law and resource management across the United States and beyond.

Hungry? You'll have the option to purchase food from two local food trucks in the parking lot!

This event is brought to you by the Nisqually Indian Tribe and North Thurston Public Schools.
