SUN Bucks
Need help feeding your kids when school is out for the summer?
The SUN Bucks program helps families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families receive $120 per eligible child, similar to the SNAP benefits card.
Visit https://www.dshs.wa.gov/sunbucks for more info. See additional information on the USDA website.
The Public Charge rule does not apply to this benefit and will not impact immigration status.
How do I get SUN Bucks?
- Make sure you have a current Child Nutrition application on file (previously called the Free & Reduced Lunch Application). More information about the Child Nutrition Application.
- Families who already receive food benefits such as SNAP, FDPIR, TANF, etc., your school-age children are already eligible for the SUN Bucks program.
