ECEAP & Head Start

NTPS works with community partners to offer state- and federally-funded programs in our community:

Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP)

ECEAP (pronounced “E-cap”) is a free early learning program for children ages 3 to 4. Managed and staffed by the Child Care Action Council (CCAC), our ECEAP classes are located at Pleasant Glade Elementary School. ECEAP is funded by the State of Washington. For more information and to apply, visit the Child Care Action Council website.

Head Start

Head Start is a free early learning program for children ages 3 to 5. The Head Start Program is managed and staff by Sound to Harbor Early Learning Programs and is offered in the building next to Nisqually Middle School. Head Start is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. For more information and to apply, visit the Capital Region ESD 113 Early Learning Program website.

The state Department of Children, Youth & Families offers more detailed information about both ECEAP and Head Start in our state.
