  • JBLM FOCUS Project – Families Overcoming Under Stress provides military children, families, and couples resilience training. It teaches practical skills to help families and couples overcome common challenges related to military life. It helps build on current strengths and teaches new strategies to enhance communication and problem-solving, goal setting, and creating a shared family story.

  • Off-Post Housing Rental Partnership Program — The RPP helps JBLM single and married service members and their families find affordable, off-base housing. The intent is to help ease the financial stress of PCS moves and other major transitions by encouraging landlords to provide a 5% or more discount on monthly rent, waive security/rent deposits, and waive fees for credit checks.
  • JBLM School Support Services – provides school-aged youth with educational opportunities, resources, and information necessary to succeed academically. School Liaison Officers (SLOs) are your best support in the area of education, schools, and military transitions.
  • JBLM USO — extends the USO experience to active duty, reserve, national guard and military spouses by offering professional development services throughout the duration of military service as well as in preparation for life post-military.

  • Washington National Guard — provides transition services and a variety of state and family programs, including, but not limited to: mental/psychological health assistance; financial guidance; child & youth services; employer/employee support relationship services; employment transitioning; a resiliency care team; plus many additional programs and services that advocate the well-being of the soldier and their family members.
    • Army National Guard Weekend Drill Childcare – The National Guard Bureau has partnered with Upwards to deliver the second Weekend Drill Child Care (WDCC) Pilot Program! This pilot seeks to fill gaps in childcare during drill weekends to enable unit readiness, support retention, mitigate financial hardship, and reduce the conflict between military mission and parental responsibilities.
