Family Tech Tools

Student and Family Technology Tools

For each student, depending on their grade, there are many tech tools and services in our classrooms to aid in learning. Secondary students have their own Chromebooks so they can access these resources at home.

All Students

  • Clever — a central hub of portals and links for many digital resources.
  • Skyward Family Access — the main student information portal (grades, attendance, etc.)
  • Chromebooks — these small laptops are available in classrooms at the elementary level and are assigned individually to secondary students to carry year-round.

Grades Kindergarten–5

  • Google Classroom — a learning management system (LMS) that helps teachers manage web resources and activities for students. Families can subscribe to updates.
  • Google Apps — documents, slide decks, and more to create and share assignments and other work. Integrated into Google Classroom for ease in submitting work.

Grades 6–12

  • Canvas — a teacher-led digital classroom system for secondary students. Families can shadow their student's classes.
  • Google Apps — documents, slide decks, and more to create and share assignments. Integrated into Canvas for ease in submitting work.
  • Securly — internet safety and content filter on all issued Chromebooks. Families have access to reports and history from this tool.

Family Communication Tools

  • School Messenger — district mass communications system for school-wide phone calls, texts, and emails.
  • Remind — a group messaging app for teachers, coaches, and staff to communicate with classrooms, students, and families.
  • Peachjar — an electronic bulletin board of district, school, and community flyers for events, announcements.
