From Principal Hollinger

  • Stephanie Hollinger Dear Evergreen Forest Elementary Students, Families, and Community Members,

I love being the principal of Evergreen Forest Elementary! Our students are compassionate, bright, kind, hardworking, and fun. Our families, students, staff and community make Evergreen Forest a truly special school. The Evergreen Forest motto is: Growing, Learning, Achieving, Dreaming. Staff believe this of students, but also of themselves and colleagues as well.

I am not just your principal, but also a wife and mother. My husband, Tygh, is a law enforcement officer and we have two active children. Ashley is 17 and attends River Ridge High School. She is the ASB Secretary, is involved in Leadership and enjoys being a partner in Unified Sports. Libby is 13 and attends Aspire Middle School where she is the Choir Council Vice President and enjoys singing in Glee Choir and Bella Voce. She also enjoys riding horses in her spare time. As a family we enjoy spending time together, traveling, hiking, and enjoying new experiences. Both of my children attended Evergreen Forest since the beginning of their elementary schooling. So, I know what a great school this is as both a parent and principal!

As principal, it is my goal to create strong relationships with staff, students, families, and the community. My core belief is that the relationship between home, school, and community is vital to a student’s success. Supporting students to achieve at school and in their lives is the center of my work.

During the course of the year, it is my hope that we will work together to provide the students of Evergreen Forest Elementary the best possible education.  As principal, my door is open and I welcome your input.  I look forward to us to partnering together to make this a wonderful year at Evergreen Forest Elementary!

    Your Principal,

    Stephanie Hollinger

Assistant Principal DeShields

  • Hello Evergreen Forest Bobcats!

I am so excited to be the assistant principal at Evergreen Forest! The staff, Mrs. Hollinger, and I are all committed to making this a great year full of learning.

I’d like to tell you a little about myself. I received my Bachelor’s in Education through Pacific Lutheran University and taught for 9 years in the Clover Park School District. During that time I decided to pursue my passion for becoming an administrator and received my Master’s in Educational Administration through Grand Canyon University. I then became the dean of students for an elementary school on JBLM in the Clover Park School District. I spent 2 years as the dean of students. I am happy to start my first year as assistant principal at Evergreen Forest.

In addition to assistant principal, I am also a mother and a wife. My husband, Roland, and I cherish every moment with our family. My son Andrew is almost 11 years old and enjoys basketball and soccer. My step-son, RC, is married and he and his wife are expecting their first child in December. I’m going to be a grandma!

I believe that communication and collaboration with parents, students, and staff are necessary to providing an excellent education to all of our students. Building positive relationships with all stakeholders is of utmost importance and I will strive to do just that.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I look forward to making this a great year!

    Sincerely,
    Angela DeShields
