About Me

  • Hello Coyotes!
I have been teaching in the North Thurston school district since 2005. I have taught 5th, 6th and now 3rd grades. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and then received my Master in Teaching from City University. In addition, I received my National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Mathematics in 2011.
Personally, I have always loved learning. My husband and I are avid readers and love a good trip to the bookstore. I am a third generation teacher (my mother and grandmother were teachers, as well as several aunts), and my daughter just became the fourth generatation teacher. We have a son and daughter who attended NTPS schools, are proud Timberline graduates, and went off to become successful student athletes in college. When I'm not teaching, I can be found either in my "studio" (a fancy name for a craft room!) making things, or out exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I also have the cutest dog in the world, named Winston!
I look forward to seeing you in the classroom, even if it is currently virtual!
