Welcome Chambers Prairie Families and students! I have been teaching since 1984. I attended Central Washington University earning a BA in Elementary Education and two minors in Music and Special Education. I have taught in a variety of grade levels K-5. For the past twelve years, I have worked as a Title I Specialist and Coach. Currenty, I am the Math Instructional Specialist and Assessment Coordinator at Chambers Prairie. It is my role to assist in assessing students using our District Benchmark Tests ( Fall, Winter and Spring) and the SBA ( Smarter Balanced Assessment) for grades 3-5 in the spring. After students are assessed, I collect the data to plan for the instructional support of students showing risk in math. Working with classroom teachers, we create instructional math groups through the Title I program to support students. Classroom teachers and I work collaboratively throughout the year to ensure that students are receiving support to achieve the math grade level standards. Also, I facilitate reading, math and science events for Chambers Prairie families to attend. These are always a great time for everyone! I am excited to work with our families to ensure their student's success in math!
