From Principal Crane

  • David Crane, Nisqually Middle School Principal
Dear Nisqually Middle School Students and Families,

As we begin the second semester of the year, I am excited by the progress our students are making academically and behaviorally. Our leadership team has been meeting to look at academic, attendance, and behavior data in an effort to better serve our students and help them maximize their growth this year.

I am also excited to share that we have a record number of clubs for our students to participate in outside of the classroom. This year we have eleven different clubs for students to join, as well as math tutoring and Clubhouse before and afterschool! For times and meeting places of these clubs, please check our website.

Here is a list of our clubs for the 2018-2019 school year:

    • Sci-Art Club
    • SAGA Club
    • Game Club
    • Ultimate Frisbee Club
    • Outdoor Club
    • Nisqually Rocks!
    • Greenhouse/Skills USA Horticulture Club
    • Drama Club
    • Jazz Band
    • Percussion Ensemble
    • Advanced Choir
I am continually impressed by the dedication of our teachers to creating engaging and challenging lessons to help our students learn and become independent thinkers. I hope you are able to take the time to check Skyward often with your student, and contact our teachers if you have any questions about missing assignments, or your student’s progress.

I look forward to continuing to work with you to ensure we provide engaging and rigorous opportunities for your students to learn, every day at Nisqually. Our next Breakfast with the Principal will be in March, and will be an opportunity for classroom visits to see the teaching and learning happening in our classrooms. Please check our website for more information. Thanks for sharing your awesome students with us!

    Sincerely,

    David Crane
