Kim Matthews

Professional Biography

  • I taught middle school Language Arts since 1989 and have been at Komachin since 2001. I got my bachelor’s degree at Washington State University and my masters in Creative Arts and Learning through Lesley University. I have been the Komachin teacher-librarian since 2015. I love that I get to share my love of books and learning with a wider audience now! I'm also the one to see if your Chromebook is misbehaving.


  • During remote, students will soon have the opportunity to put books on hold and do curbside pick up for actual books. Watch for information coming out through the KMS Canvas page.


    When we are in the building, the Library is open daily before school once the doors open for students to come into the main hallways. We close by 4:05.
