  • Hello Learners and families! -

All of the information students need for online learning in my courses will be found on  CANVAS . If you are a parent or guardian, you may sign up through Canvas to be an "observer" in your child's course. Click on this link to learn more about signing up on Canvas.

I believe that two of the most important elements to success in math (and in life) are believing in yourself and being willing to work hard.

Besides being a math teacher, I also enjoy bicycling, skiing, and sitting by a campfire, the sea or a mountaintop; basically, anything that gets me outdoors. During the long dark days of winter I enjoy listening to music and hanging out with friends and family. I graduated from Western Washington University with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Education and earned my Masters in Environmental Studies at The Evergreen State College. I have been teaching since 1984 (yep, I'm really old!) with brief stints coordinating a watershed education program in Thurston County as well as working for the state in the public involvement and education arena.
