This is my twelfth year teaching Mathematics at North Thurston High School. I really enjoy motivating our students to not only understand how to do math, but also to understand why Mathematics is important in today’s world and most importantly, to have fun doing it.Prior to teaching math I was an executive at several telecommunications companies including VeriSign, Illuminet (US Intelco), Sprint, Siemens, Bellcore, and Bell Labs, mostly in Research and Development spanning over thirty years. I have written over 100 technical papers and presented these world-wide. I used math my entire career so I know why math is important and I know how to apply math to real world problems. Sharing this experience with my students is an honor and a pleasure.I have a BS in Mathematics (cum laude) from the University of Illinois, an MS in Statistics/Operations Research and MBA from Michigan Technological University, and course work completed for a PH.D. in Computer Communications from the University of Missouri.
