Students that take this course are part of the CWU College in the High School program. They are introduced to teaching as a career. The class is culturally anchored and offers a framework of equity pedagogy. Students have the opportunity to work with children at the local schools near North Thurston High School. One of the activities students are responsible for is to design displays on various topics. To honor Hispanic Heritage Month, the students created displays on their culture.
