    FBLA BOOK SWAP COMMUNITY SERVICE

    Intent:
Our intent is to not only promote reading and literacy within our school, but also for other schools within our district. While we are in communication with Ignite Online Academy and South Bay Elementary, we hope to donate any books deemed middle school level or higher to Ignite Online Academy, whereas any elementary level books will go to South Bay Elementary School. When a student donates a book(s), they are welcome to “swap” for an equal number of books from the North Thurston library’s own collection of books to take home, but are not required to do so.

Students can participate by dropping a book in one of the donation boxes. One box will be placed by the admissions hallway, one in the library, one in the English hallway, as well as one in Ms. Borseth's room (127). After doing so, it is encouraged but not required that students go to the library and grab themselves a gently used book. The librarians will be there along with the club president, Clara Hoyte, to assist students with any questions.

The books will be donated to South Bay Elementary and Ignite Family Academy. FBLA and the benefitting schools are beyond excited to participate in this adventure, and we hope that you and your students are excited to join us!

    Dates:
Monday, February 7th, through Friday, February 18th.
