The Cairn

  • Forever Brave and Bold!

Timberline High School's yearbook has been named "Cairn" since its inaugural volume in 1970-71. Students on the first yearbook staff chose the name to represent and mark the accomplishments of Timberline students.

"Cairn is defined as a cone-shaped mass of rock, built as a landmark or monument.  Our Cairn is a landmark marking the trail blazed by the students of Timberline throughout the year." -1970-71 Annual Staff

Staff: The annual staff is composed of students in the 10th through 12th grade.

    Advisor: Jason Bush jbush@nthurston.k12.wa.us

2023-2024 Timberline High School Cairn Volume 54

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, the Timberline Annual Staff would like to share with you some important information regarding the 2023-2024 yearbooks.  We had an extremely positive response to the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 books and are looking forward to building on the success this coming school year.  In fact, books have sold out 5 of the last 6 years. Here is a list of important dates to keep in mind as we prepare for 2023-2024.

    • Yearbook Ordering: Online Orders Open August 1, 2023
    • Early order Deadline closes: October 27, 2023
    • Senior Photos due: Friday November 3, 2023
    • Senior Ads Priority Deadline: Friday February 2, 2024
    • Yearbook Personalization: Friday January 26, 2024 Personalization options close
    • Yearbook Final Orders: Friday May 3, 2024
    • Prospective Distribution: Thursday May 30, 2024 (Subject to change)

In order to ensure that your student receives an annual should they desire one, orders need to be placed and payments received by the due date.  We order a limited number of books to sell at the end of the year, and the price of those books is higher than books that are pre-ordered and paid for.

For seniors and senior parents, due to press deadlines we must meet, it is imperative that senior photos and ads are in by the above deadlines.  Senior photo requirements are that the photo be no more than 3.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide (standard wallet).  We request that you submit photos in digital format saved as a .jpeg (last name, first name) with the resolution set at 300dpi. Senior photos and quotes should be submitted through the Google form that was sent to your seniors' email. If no photo is turned in, we will use the registration photo taken at the beginning of the school year.

Here is a list of photographers that we have worked with in the past that submit digital photos as a service to you and the school: A Smile Like Yours Photography, Alison Merten Photography, Boston Harbor Photography, DelLaCruz Photography, Heartprints Photography, Jennifer Rutledge Photography, KDA Photography, Mary Hasken Photography, PrestigePortraits by Lifetouch, Rebecca Sue Photography, Studio K Portraits and Taylor Made Photography.
