Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Tiffany Barker. I am excited to be a part of your student's learning this year at Lacey Elementary.

I got my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Central Washington University. Go Wildcats! I have taught both kindergarten and fourth grade. I must say that despite their differences, they both hold very special places in my heart. 

When I am not at school, I enjoy camping, hiking, walking my dog, paddleboarding, and getting outside.

During my very first years teaching, I had just one student... my little sister. I would teach using my old school workbooks and a chalkboard our dad hung up in the garage. I even had my own bell to signal breaks in the day. More than anything, I loved being able to help somebody understand new concepts. I have maintained that same passion for teaching to this day. When a student has a lightbulb moment, I am filled with joy. I hope to foster a lifelong love for learning in each and every student.
