Professional Biography

  • I am excited to be a part of your student's education this year at Mountain View Preschool!

I grew up in the Olympia area. I was a student of North Thurston Public Schools, and am very excited to now work in the district I learned in! I receieved my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Western Washington University, and then my Master in Science from the University of North Dakota in Special Education, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education. Prior to becoming a preschool teacher, I had worked in the early intervention program (Birth to Three) for almost seven years, both as a Family Resources Coordinator and Early Intervention Teacher.

My main focus for my classroom will be social-emotional development. I firmly believe that by encouraging the growth of social-emotional skills, it in turn helps to become the foundation for growth within cognitive, adaptive, motor, and communication skills! I also want my classroom and teaching style to always promote a love for learning within my students.
