Working together with community organizations and professionals, NTPS is proud to offer educational workshops, panels, and other opportunities for our families. Topics are age-based and relevant to developmental levels for our students to help parents with their part in helping our students be the best they can be.

Success in the Early Years (for guardians of ages 3–5)
Success in the Early Years is a free, early-learning family education series offered by NTPS for families of preschool-aged children to support school readiness. The series will be offered virtually via Zoom, on the second Tuesday of each month, except for June, which will take place in person. Join us for expert speakers, door prizes, and a chance to connect with other parents. Registration is required. You will receive a reminder and Zoom meeting link a few days before each class.

Bilingual Preschool Storytime (ages 3–5)
Join us for a monthly in-person bilingual preschool story time! This program is for three- to five-year-old children and includes a read-aloud in English and another world language, a fun activity for families to do together, a free book for each event, and a snack to go. Winning at Parenting is a free educational series offered to support families of school-aged children. The monthly series is virtual, via Zoom, except for the summer send-off in June, which will be in-person. Join us for knowledgeable facilitators, relevant topics, and a chance to connect with other parents.

The Emotional Lives of Teenagers (for guardians of grades 6–8)
The Emotional Lives of Teenagers is a free, 4-part book study series to support parents of middle schoolers (grades 6–8) during a critical and sometimes challenging stage of development. Copies of the book will be available for participants. Workshops will be held in person, monthly from February through May at the North Thurston High School library from 6:30–8:00 pm. We would love to have you join us. Registration is required. No childcare is provided.
