Clubs at Horizons

Eagles learn in all kinds of ways! Each year, we feature some extra-curricular clubs for students to join. They learn about teamwork, goal-setting, and maybe even a little extra dance step or two.

Check out some of our recent clubs and stay tuned for what will be offered this school year!

Clubs at Horizons

Garden Club

Beginning in May, students meet one day every other week to tear down last year's garden and prep and plant this year's. Students maintain it throughout the spring and early summer and meet again in the fall to have a harvest party.

Students and advisors cook up the potatoes, make fresh salsa, salads, and strawberry lemonade to celebrate all of their hard work!

Leadership Club
Performing Arts Club

The Performing Arts Club at Horizons is the place to be for your students to participate in Choir and the Winter & Spring Musicals!

The Choir performs in the school Veterans Day program in November, and the regional Zone Concert at Timberline High School in March.

The Winter Musical is performed for the school in December. There is a presentation for the school during the day and one for families that evening.

The Spring Musical is performed for the school in June, both here at Horizons and the Woodland Retirement Community.

Student Ambassadors Club

School Ambassadors creates school connectedness for the "new kids". Whether you are a new military-connected student or a newly transferred student, Student Ambassadors creates a fun and new transition for you. From school tours and staff introductions to lunch buddies, Student Ambassadors will help you get settled into Horizons Elementary. Ambassadors strive to help all students fit in, make new friends and to get staff and school information. Student Ambassadors help create a welcoming school atmosphere, one student at a time!
