I earned my bachelor's degree in English Literature from Western Washington University and my Master's in Education from Arizona State University. I also hold a Reading Specialist certificate through Chapman University.
I started my career teaching 7th and 8th Grade ELA in the Litchfield Elementary School district in Litchfield Park, Arizona. During my time in Arizona, I also taught ESL and Developmental Reading for Maricopa Community Colleges. I earned my National Boards in Middle-Level English Language Arts in 2012. Upon moving back to Washington, I taught freshmen, sophomores, and seniors at Timberline High School. I became an Instructional Specialist in 2016. Currently, I am also serving as an ELA Fellow with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. I love coaching and supporting teachers to maximize all students' potential. I support middle school and high school teachers in English Language Arts and Social Studies.
Just like every elite athlete, every teacher deserves a coach.
