Welcome to Olympic View Elementary's Kindergarten Team page! We are excited to have your student as a part of our team this year. Look around our page to see how we can work together to help your kindergartner be successful in school!
We do community snack everyday around 9:40am. If your student has been assigned snack, please send your student with enough store-bought, nut-free, individually wrapped, easy to serve, shelfable snacks for every student in the classroom. All snacks must have ingredients listed on the packaging for student safety.
What are the dismissal procedures?
Dismissal for Kindergarten is a few minutes earlier than the rest of the school. You can pick your student up at their back classroom door at 245. Parents are asked to please wait along the fence until students are released to prevent distraction during end of day procedures.
Any changes to dismissal must be given to the office by hand or phone by 1:30pm on the day of the change. You must present ID if you are new to picking up the student (and indicated on the child's approved list of adults who can pick up).
What are volunteer policies?
We love having volunteers help with classroom projects, help with students, attend field experiences, etc.! Please sign up online to volunteer ASAP in order to be approved - applications take up to 2 weeks to process and are good for 2 years.
How is lunch money handled?
Lunch money can be deposited online. If students take a check to school, they are responsible for taking it to the front office. Teachers cannot handle lunch money. Please put money in a bag or envelope clearly marked with it's purpose, the students name, and their teachers name.
