Hi, my name is Amanda Ervin and I am thrilled to be teaching at Evergreen Forest and to be teaching your student. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northwest University and am receiving my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction this June from Concordia University. I live locally in Olympia and have two children, Noah and Aislynn, who also attend Evergreen Forest and love it! We enjoy spending time outdoors, swimming, hiking, and being together. I am thrilled to watch my daughter in the Nutcracker this year and my son perform in plays! I am excited to play a role in your child’s life in education this year. If you would like to get a hold of me email works best!
Suggestions for working with your student at home. Reading 20 minutes a night! Sight words daily and of course, most importantly, letter sounds all the time. This helps with the foundational skills with your young readers and that is the foundation of all other learning.
