National Honor Society at River Ridge

  • The National Honor Society (NHS) recognizes outstanding high school students. It is more than just an honor roll. NHS members set the standards for exemplar students and strive to uphold the organization’s four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. NHS cares not only about student achievement, but also community engagement. More than one million students participate in NHS activities across the country. Some past River Ridge NHS events include Blood Drives with Bloodworks NW, River Ridge Campus Clean-Up, and Valentine’s for Vets.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. territories, and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
