The 2019-2020 school year is my fourth year teaching math at Nisqually Middle School. I was fortunate to complete my student teaching in the Spring of 2016 at Timberline. I started my teaching career at both Nisqually and Timberline covering the Algebra and Pre-Algebra courses. This summer I was fortunate to work with Algebra Readiness students at Timberline High School.
I earned my B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in Mathematics, while playing basketball for Saint Martin's University (2010-2012). Shortly after graduation I chose to pursue a degree in teaching. I graduated with my Masters in Teaching (2016) from Saint Martin's University. For my Masters degree I wrote a thesis based on the EngageNY curriculum and had very fascinating findings, so feel free to ask me about them! Another passion of mine, aside from teaching, is coaching. Although I did play for Saint Martin's University myself I have been fortunate enough to have coached five years at Timberline.
My theme for this school year is to build a community of lifelong learners. Looking forward to a great year!
