Fred Robischon

Professional Biography

  • I began my teaching career in 2003 as a special education teacher. In 2014 I was hired to be a 6th grade general education teacher at Horizons Elementary. In 2016 I moved up to middle school and I taught both 6th grade core math and math support classes. In 2019 I was asked to move back to special education due to a lack of teachers endorsed in special education. I currently work in a Life Skills program and with a group of amazing students. It is a pure joy to go to work each day. 
    My professional biography is as follows, I received my bachelor’s degree in 1982 from Central Washington University in Flight Technology. In 2002 I went back to school to become a teacher. I earned my k-8 teaching endorsement from the University of Washington Tacoma Branch (UWT) in 2003 and my Master’s in education from UWT in 2007.
    I am married with two sons and one daughter all of whom are adults. One of my favorite activities is spending time with my family. I enjoy many outdoor activities including camping, swimming, boating, fishing and clam digging. In the winter I enjoy snow sking whenever I can make it up to the mountain. I am big sports fan and enjoy following the Seahawks, Mariners and the Washington Huskies.
