I have been teaching for about ten years, and I have been lucky enough to spend about half of those at Timberline High School. I have an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University, and a B.A. in English from University of Maryland. I have experience teaching overseas and on both coasts, but the Pacific Northwest and Timberline are my forever home. I am a passionate educator who believes that all students can succeed and grow in a learning environment that is stimulating, comforting, and in conjunction with their unique talents and abilities. Every day, I work to inspire a spirit of adventure and a love of learning in my students.
I am married to a wonderful husband and we have two children, ages 23 and 16. I love to travel, hike, camp, cook, and read. I also love quilting and live music. Every day, my intention is to brighten others' day, as that makes mine better too! I think it's important to live in the community where you teach, and I couldn't have found a better one!
Due to Covid-19 School Closures, classes have moved online. There is no live class requirement, as this can be unnecessarily taxing on families. All English assingments are posted on the Canvas calendar on Mondays and all assignments are due on Thursday, before midnight. Students have the option to join me in a live google meet on Wednesdays from 12:30-1pm. This is always optional.
