Professional Biography

  • I was born and raised in Olympia until I joined the Air Force in 2000. I spent 10 years serving our country before deciding to become a teacher. My family and I moved from Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is where I was stationed for my entire Air Force career, back home where I continued my college career. I started at South Puget Sound Community College and ended with my graduation from Saint Martin's University. I went back to further my education and graduated from Western Governors University in 2019 with a Master's Degree in Learning and Technology. I have been married to my beautiful bride, Jennifer, for over 17 years now, and we have three amazing kids together. I am extremely excited for another school year at Timberline High School where the students' best interests are at the center of every decision made. My goal is to show students how awesome mathematics can be and to take away the "magic" of how math works and show them the reasoning behind it all. I can't wait to see what the 2019-2020 school year holds for my students and I!
