Professional Biography

  • Hello families & students! Welcome to English!

My name is Danielle Hunter, I've worked at Komachin Middle School since 2015 and proud to call Komachin Middle School 'home'. I'm orginally from Minnesota and moved out to Washington State in 2011. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire in 2010 with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education & a minor in Language Arts. In 2017 I returned to school to get my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University & in 2018 I completed my National Board Certification in English Language Arts- Early Adolescene.

This year I have the privledge to teach 7th grade English this year, both general education and high capability.

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my husband Matt and our 2-year-old daughter, Addalyn. Our adventures include spending time outdoors [snowboarding, biking, going for walks], reading books, loving on our furbabies [Yzer 🐶, Izzo 😺, and Ziggy 😺] and watching anything Mickey Mouse.

I’m excited for our ELA journey to begin. Please reach out with any questions or concerns [email works best].
