Professional Biography

  • I am a proud graduate of St. Martin's, earning my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, with an emphasis on reading in 1999.  I received my Master's Degree in Education in 2003 from Grand Canyon University.  I earned my National Board Certification in Early/Middle Childhood Literacy in 2008.

    I'm excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Mountain View Elementary.  I have been teaching here since 2014; my first three years here I taught 1st grade.  Prior to coming to the North Thurston Public Schools, I taught 2nd grade for two years and Resource for 4 years in the Clover Park School District.  I also have 5 years of experience teaching Resource and was a TOSA (math coach)/Title 1 teacher for 4 years in Aberdeen.
