Professional Biography

  • Welcome to second in room 7 at Lacey Elementary!! I am so excited to begin the school year with a fantastic class! We will have so many fun adventures with learning and we will learn and grow as a community this year in our room.

I grew up in Lacey, WA and attended my primary and secondary education within the North Thurston School District. After graduation from Timberline High School, I traveled to Colorado and attended Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Psychology. This is my fourth year ;of teaching. I have taught first and second grade at Horizons Elementary. My first two years were in first grade and this is my second year teaching 2nd grade. I am over the moon excited to see what this year will bring! My passion has always been to be a teacher and to be a guide for students in their educational world.

I am looking forwarding to growing, learning new skills and expanding both our worlds full of new discoveries! When, not in the classroom, I love spending time with my wonderful husband of 16 years and our five year old son. I love to read all types of books, take walks with my son and husband, garden, learning how to cook new dishes and bake yummy treats.
