I was born into a family of teachers, many right here in our district! I have always known that I wanted to teach. I remember as a child, arranging my stuffed animals into a classroom and using my mother's curriculum to teach them to read.
I enjoyed growing up in our district and appreciate the education I received. I attended Pleasant Glade, Chinook, and North Thurston.
I have two children. My son Dane is a sophomore at Timberline HS. He enjoys playing football, wrestling, and motorcycle riding. My daughter Lauren is in seventh grade at Nisqually MS. She enjoys participating in volleyball, dance, and gymnastics. We also have a two dogs, Ix Nay and Hula as well as our cat, Kung Pao.
We have hobbies of all sorts in our family. We enjoy the outdoors, team sports (GO Huskies and Seahawks!!), and traveling.
As I go into my nineteenth year of teaching I am thrilled. The start of the school year brings back so many happy memories. I look forward to meeting your student!
