Jimi Sharp

Professional Biography

  • Graduated from Anacortes High School 1994. U.S. Navy signalman aboard USS RAINIER (AOE-7) in Persian Gulf enforcing Iraqi No-Fly Zone under Operation Vigilant Sentinel 1996/97.  Member of VFW Post 318, Olympia, WA.  Backpacked throughout Europe before college. Earned B.A. at Western Washington University, 2002.  Earned Teaching certificate at Woodring College of Eductaion, 2004.  Earned Endorsement in Special Education at The Evergreen State College, 2008.  Taught in a DD/Self-Contained classroom at Meadows Elementary 2008 – 2012; Life Skills Program at Timberline High School 2012-2013; Nisqually Middle School 2013 – to present. Earned my Professional Teaching Certificate in 2016. I drive bands such as Train, The Knack, Gin Blossoms, James Otto, Jake Owen, Brett Eldridge, etc. during the summer. 

    I enjoy:  Spending time traveling  throughout the Pacific Northwest with my wife and daughters; Reading books about historical non-fiction; Surfing; and always looking at the positive side of life. I like to smile. I love being a life skills teacher and feel lucky to be a member of Nisqually Middle School’s staff.
