Kyle Chappell

Professional Biography

  • Welcome to Mr. Chappell's Teacher Page!

I am excited to be teaching Mathematics for my seventh year at North Thurston High School. I graduated from The Evergreen State College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2006. I subsequently graduated from The Evergreen State College with a Master in Teaching in 2013.

I decided to pursue the profession of teaching because I enjoy working with young people. I teach mathematics because I strongly believe that math can provide anyone with a tool to understand the world around them. Whether designing an engine, writing software, or critically reading an article in the local news, mathematics can provide a method for analysis and informed decision-making. In all of my classes, I hope to provide students with the tools they need to be successful in future math courses and experiences that show them the power of mathematics as a tool to understand the world.
