When and where are services available?
Timberline Athletic Training services are available daily after school beginning at 2pm during fall, winter and spring sports seasons. The Athletic Training Room is located between the main gymnasium and the spinning classroom on the east end of the school.
Medical services are primarily provided in the Athletic Training Room consisting of evaluating, rehabilitating, and preparing athletes for participation. Services are also provided at Timberline hosted sporting events and practices.
What is an Athletic Trainer?
BOC Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities.
What does an Athletic Trainer do?
As the medical professional responsible for your child’s health, I ensure that your child is safe to participate in Timberline sports practices and games. My duties are primarily administering preventative care, immediate and emergency care of injuries, rehabilitation of athletic injuries, clearing injured athletes for return to playing status, and referral to appropriate medical personnel.
