• North Thurston High School's Advisory Program helps students develop their individual academic, career and personal plans for the future. The Portfolio is a student's record of all four years of high school. By the time students graduate, it will include:
    • High School & Beyond Plan (required to graduate in Washington State)
    • Samples of course work (best works and work that shows progress)
    • Grades, test results, four-year plan, and transcripts
    • Self-assessments about personal progress and academic goals
    • Career goals and post-secondary plans
    • A financial plan for the future
    • A record of student jobs, internships, or volunteer service
    • Honors or awards received
In the senior year, students present a completed Advisory Portfolio at their Student-Led Conference and share documentation of the 20 hours of Community Service/Job Shadow experience required for graduation (as part of their High School & Beyond Plan). They will discuss educational goals toward graduation, post-high school plans and career interests at this conference.
