Kelly Serrao

Professional Biography

  • Hello Parents and Students! Welcome to US History. This will be my 12th year in the classroom as a teacher. I graduated from Washington State University in 2008 with my bachelors in Social Studies Education. At WSU, I was a member and team captain for the women’s swim team. I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU in 2017, and in 2018, I became a Nationally Board Certified teacher. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family which includes my husband, Tom, and our two boys, Jaxon and Carter.

My goal is to give clear and concise communication but also not to overwhelm. Parents, if you want to stay informed on current assignments and due dates please follow your student on Canvas. Check out the daily slides OR current Modules and regularly check skyward.

My STUDENT AND FAMILY SUPPORT times are Monday - Thursday: 2:45 - 3:45 pm   Friday 2:00 - 3:00 pm. I am available to respond to emails or schedule a live meet during my support time. If you want to schedule a meeting please leave a time and date that works for you in your message.

Please email at any time if you have questions or concerns. Emails will be returned within the next office hour time period and google meets can be scheduled for parents and / or  students as needed during my office hours.
