This will be my 11th year teaching math at the high school level. I can still say that I really enjoy teaching and helping students to not only be proficient in math but to even like it. I am of the mindset that if you give respect you get respect and I think that goes both ways in the classroom.
I have been married to my wife, Aimee for 14 years this summer and we have three children ages 11,7 and 4. We like to keep busy with fishing on the lake, working in the garden and getting outside as well as Sunday family dinners. We always have some sort of home project in the works. This summer it was building out a new woodshed.
Before I moved to Washington for college at Northwest University I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. I still have family there and I am so grateful for getting to grow up in such a beautiful place. I have a dream to take a summer road trip and show the kids where I grew up. We landed in Olympia about 7 years ago and we are so fortunate to live on family property and help care for that and keep the legacy alive.
