Professional Biography

  • Mountain View Students climbing on the climbing wall in the gym. Welcome to Mt. View's P.E. webpage. My name is Mrs. Steen. I have lived in this area for over 50 years. In fact, I attended Mt. View Elementary in 3rd-6th grade. I graduated from P.L.U. with a B.A.E and from U.P. with a masters in Education. In 2014, I became a national certified  teacher. I teach success oriented PE and encourage students to give their maximum effort in order to achieve their personal best. 

    This page provides information about our classes and all the extra exciting things we do to keep physically fit. Physical Education provides opportunities for children to exercise their minds, bodies and creativity. Through physical education, children acquire greater problem solving skills, expand their ways to communicate and develop a better understand of themselves and others. Research shows that student success in school is enhanced by physical education.

    • 9:35-10:15 - 2nd grade
    • 10:20-11:00 - 1st grade
    • 11:10-11:50 - kindergarten
    • 11:55-1:00 - lunch and prep
    • 1:00-1:40 - 4th grade
    • 1:45-2:25 - 5th grade
