Shannon Brigham

Professional Biography

  • Prior to teaching WA State History at Salish I taught 6th grade for 8 years at Lakes Elementary, 7th/8th grade Language Arts for 3 years at Komachin Middle School, 7th/8th grade Humanities for 6 years at Frontier Junior High in Bethel School District, and 2 years of Language Arts & Math at Chief Leschi Native American Schools in Puyallup. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education K-8 from Eastern Washington University with a Reading Endorsement K-12 and a Math Minor.  I earned my Master’s Degree through Lesley University in Technology in Education. In addition to teaching, I am also the head coach for the NTPS high school gymnastics team (River Ridge, Timberline, and North Thurston).
     
    Besides teaching and coaching, I love spending time with my family and being in the great outdoors of the PNW....hiking, backpacking, and camping are a must!
