Kelly Dunbar

Hello Parents!

  • I would like to emphasize the importance of checking your child's classroom folder each night, or as often as you can. We send home artwork, general information, and pages to be signed and sent right back. I will send out group emails with information and reminders, also.

Professional Biography

  • Hi there. I have been teaching since 1986, right after I graduated WSU. I'm a die-hard COUG fan. My teaching experiences have been seven years as an early intervention preschool teacher in SO Thurston County, four years in first grade, part-time sixth grade for one year at Lakes as well as running an in-home daycare center in my home, six years as the art teacher, and have spent eleven years in fifth grade. I am now in my ninth year back in Early Childhood Special Education. I believe my many experiences, especially living through the challenges of parenting, help me understand my students and what I can do to be supportive and encourage them to be independent learners.

The BEST WAY TO REACH ME is through email. kdunbar@nthurston.k12.wa.us
