School Counseling during Remote Learning
Your child’s mental health and social-emotional well-being are very important. Your school counselor can help your child navigate through difficult times and provide support through individual counseling and small group counseling.
During in-person learning, your child may choose to make a school counseling appointment by simply asking their teacher for permission, stopping by the school counselor’s office, or completing a request for an appointment.
During remote learning, the procedure is different. Your child may choose to communicate with their school counselor in one of the following ways:
- Message or email Ms. Turlove through their Google Classroom to request counseling
- Virtual appointment via Google Meet.
- Counseling office hours: Mon-Fri, 9:00-10:25am & 1:00-2:30pm
- Students can click the Google meet link in Ms. Turlove’s classroom to “drop in” for a 1-on-1 session; (no parent permission needed)
- Phone appointment (parent permission needed)
- In person appointment On school campus following school safety guidelines (parent/guardian provides transport)
If you would like to arrange a counseling appointment for your child or would like more information, please contact Pam Turlove via email email@example.com or call (360) 412-4608
