Welcome! I'm Dana Day and I'm excited to be teaching sixth grade at Chinook. I was raised in South Dakota and moved to Washington after receiving my Masters Degree, teaching first in the Aberdeen School District. I moved to North Thurston in 2000 and have taught fifth or sixth grade since that time. I love to learn also and received my National Boards Certification in 2012. Throughout my teaching career I have taught 3rd through 8th grade and also a college social studies methods class. I have high expectations for my students to do their best to Learn and behave in our classroom-- a positive, supportive environment.
